Douglas Jackson, PhD, JD, President and CEO
Dr. Douglas Jackson serves as the President/CEO of Project C.U.R.E. In addition to his work at Project C.U.R.E., Dr. Jackson has taught at the university level in the disciplines of finance, investments, leadership development, legal and international issues. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer to colleges and universities, conferences such as TEDx, as well as civic, corporate and community organizations.
James Jackson, PhD, Founder and Board Member
Dr. James Jackson an international businessperson serves as the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Project C.U.R.E., and is an award-winning author, speaker, humanitarian and cultural economist. Prior to founding Project C.U.R.E. Dr. Jackson served as the President, Benevolent Brotherhood Foundation (Established in 1971), President, Council on Family Finance, Co-Owner of Jackson Brother’s Investments (1965-1985), Subsidiary entities: Midwest Real Estate Exchange, Inc., Brotherhood Brokerage, Stylist Records, Great Western 75 Company, Denver Auto Mart, Inc. Co-Owner (1965-1980); President (1980-2000), President International Market Exchange, Inc. (IMX), Vice President: Petro-Go Petroleum, Inc., Vice President: Anco Petroleum Company, and International Economic Consultant, Director of Imports and Exports in Asia, Africa, South America and Great Britain.
Brad Lidge, Board Member
Brad Lidge is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. From 2002 – 2012 he played 11 season pitching career for the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals. Currently Brad Lidge is a host on SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio. Brad also serves as a board member to Project Cure and Y on Earth, and supports local charity Project Vets.
Gary Goldberg, Board Member
Gary Goldberg gained nearly 40 years’ of executive, operational and sustainability experience in the mining industry and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BHP. From 2013 to 2019, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Newmont Mining. Gary joined Newmont in 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, after a 30-year career with Rio Tinto, where he most recently served as President and Chief Executive of Rio Tinto Minerals. He has served as the Chairman of the National Mining Association in the United States from 2008 to 2010, as a Director on the International Council on Mining and Metals and as a Director on the World Gold Council. He is currently a Trustee on the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Thomas Malley, Chair of the Board
Thomas Malley current President at Mossrock Capital LLC, and Board of Director at BeiGene, Kura Oncology, Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, and Project C.U.R.E. From 2001 – 2015 he was on the Board of Directors at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Anthony’s Health Foundation, and Craig Hospital.
Margaret Pflueger, Board Member
Margaret Pflueger practices in the litigation department of Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, joining the firm in 2010. She utilizes her extensive litigation experience to assist her clients through the complex litigation process. After practicing in California for seven years at Landels, Ripley & Diamond, LLP and Jenkins Goodman & Neuman, LLC, Margaret moved back home to Colorado with her family. Her practice at Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, includes business torts, contract disputes, trusts and estates litigation, employment law, landlord-tenant, and post-judgment collections.
Bruce Schroffel, Board Member
Bruce Schroffel is an executive coach specializing in the health care provider and payer industries, he has worked in the health care administration for more than 40 years, developing strategies, leading and managing large complex academic health care organizations. From 2006 – 2014 he was President at the University of Colorado Hospital and then created University of Colorado Health, a 24,000 employee, $3.5 billion health system.
Daniel Yohannes, Board Member
Daniel W. Yohannes is an Ethiopian-American businessman and philanthropist who served as the United States Ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) from 2014 to 2017. He was nominated by President Barack Obama on September 11, 2013, and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 9, 2014. From 2009 to 2014, he was the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, an independent U.S. foreign aid agency.
Charles Fote, Former Board Member
Charlie Fote Founder and CEO of Fotec Group, prior to creating the Fotec Group, Charlie Fote spent 30 years in ascending roles at First Data Corp, Chairman, president, and chief executive officer. Fote is Chairman of the Board of Accretive Technologies Inc. He is also head of the Fote family foundation and serves on the board of Project C.U.R.E., a nonprofit, humanitarian relief organization.
