Travel with C.U.R.E. Clinics
C.U.R.E. Clinics is an opportunity to travel with a purpose. By working closely with Project C.U.R.E.’s in-country partners, C.U.R.E. Clinics provides sustainable international development aid that supports our partner’s existing efforts to improve health systems in their communities. Both medical and non-medical volunteers provide four days of clinics, often working side by side with local healthcare professionals exchanging valuable medical knowledge and providing primary care and community health education for the people of that area, many of whom have never seen a doctor.

C.U.R.E. Clinics are an extension of our C.U.R.E. Cargo program offering medical support, services and education to Project C.U.R.E. international partners who have received a cargo container of medical supplies and equipment. Project C.U.R.E. medical volunteers work alongside in-country providers to improve existing healthcare systems by offering needs-based primary medical care with a focus on patient education, capacity building training and community health education.
Our international partners are what make C.U.R.E. Clinics both sustainable and more impactful. C.U.R.E. Clinics works closely with partners to assess community health and facility needs in order to provide tailored support that strengthens existing healthcare systems.
C.U.R.E. Clinics benefit from the knowledge and expertise of all medical and non-medical professionals. Our trips mostly consist of doctors, nurses, advanced practitioners, and medical assistants. The most needed specialties are women’s health, pediatrics, rheumatology, family practice and generalists. Non-medical participants can help with set up, registration, clinic flow, check-out and community health education. If you desire to serve, we will help you find a way to use your skills.
C.U.R.E. Clinics include four days of clinics and a cultural outing day. We recognize that many of our participants are working professionals and try to keep our trips to one week in length. Some travel to faraway places may make some C.U.R.E. Clinics longer. If you have the flexibility to travel on your own after a trip, you are welcome to do so!
The cost of the trip includes medical travel insurance, Project C.U.R.E. scrubs and preparation materials, in-country expenses for lodging, meals, transportation, and supplies and equipment for the clinic trip, including medications.
