Have a Question about Volunteer Work?
Project C.U.R.E. answers your FAQ’s.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone over the age of 15 can volunteer at Project C.U.R.E. (unless previously agreed with the Operations Director)
Can I complete my court-ordered community service hours at Project C.U.R.E?
Project C.U.R.E. only accepts community service volunteers with non-violent, non-sexual or non-drug related charges. Please call the Director of Operations of the distribution center for an appointment to schedule your community service hours.
You must bring verification of your charges the first time you enter the building or you will not receive credit for your service hours.
Can I complete my service-learning hours at the Project C.U.R.E.?
Yes, contact the Director of Operations of the distribution center for more information.
Volunteers who need a record of their hours must create a volunteer profile and register for each shift.
If you do not sign in for a shift, we will have no record of your volunteer time and be unable to confirm those hours.
When can I volunteer?
Open volunteer shifts can be found online at each of the Project C.U.R.E. location pages. If you would like to volunteer outside of those hours, please contact the Director of Operations of the distribution center you would like to volunteer at.
How many volunteers can be in my group?
Our maximum group size varies from shift to shift, but our distribution centers can be very accommodating with large groups if we have adequate preparation time. If there are six people or fewer in the group, please register each person as individuals for your desired shift. If you have a group of seven people or more, please register as a group. You may contact the Director of Operations at the distribution center for more information.
Is the warehouse a handicap friendly facility?
Please contact the individual distribution center as this varies from facility to facility.
I have never volunteered. Will I be trained?

What is a volunteer profile, and why do I need to provide personal information?
The volunteer profile is made up of the information you provide about yourself, including your skills, interests, and general contact information. You’ll need to fill out the profile form the first time you register for a volunteer opportunity. You can change your answers and update your contact information anytime you choose!
The information you provide helps us to understand who our volunteers are, and it enables us to see trends in volunteering at Project C.U.R.E. It helps us serve you better, obtain grants and funding, and recognize all that you do for us.
Will my information be sold or traded with other organizations?
No, all information that you provide us is for Project C.U.R.E.’s internal use only and will never be sold or traded to other parties.
I signed up for an opportunity but cannot make it, how do I cancel?
Go to your current events and click cancel the registration. If you need to cancel less than 24 hours before you were scheduled to volunteer, please call the organizer listed in the event description.
Why do I have to record my hours?
So we can give you credit for your hard work! We can provide verification of hours to your school or employer, the court system, your Scout troop leader, or any other organization that has a community service requirement.
Knowing how many hours our volunteers donate is important to us! We also use that information to write grant proposals and obtain funding. It allows us to quantify how much our volunteers contribute to our efforts, how much work our volunteers help us accomplish, and how much we rely on you!
What if I don’t see my question on the list?
We are pleased to answer any question you may have, please email the location specific Director of Operations. If enough people need to know the answer, we will add it to this page.
